10.                   INTER-COMPANY COMMUNICATIONS

 

 

10.1                GENERAL

 

                        The purpose of this section is to allow additional flexibility in the use of radio talk groups for the purpose of conducting company activity between mobile units and stations as well as allowing better coordination on the scene of incidents during an emergency.

 

10.2                ADMINISTRATIVE COMMUNICATIONS

 

                        All administrative communications should be conducted on local municipal licensed frequencies or assigned local talk groups.  Should the need arise to communicate with units which may not have common local communications, The fire regional talk groups (East or West) should be utilized.

 

10.3                LETTER OF CONCURRENCE

 

                        Any applications for FCC radio frequencies already licensed to Cumberland County will require a letter of concurrence from the county.  Additional concurrences may be required from other entities licensed on the requested frequencies.  All requests for concurrence will be reviewed to determine eligibility of the need.  Conditional concurrence will be granted if a valid need exists.

 

                        The County will not grant any concurrences for any their licensed 800

                        frequencies. The County maintains control of all radios including

                        control stations. Any non-conforming radios will be denied access

                        to the County’s 800 network.
