This informational session is for beneficiaries who are new to Medicare or family members assisting new beneficiaries. Please call Cumberland County Aging & Community Services at 717-240-6110 or 888-697-0371 ext. 6110 to register. Registration is preferred, as seating is limited. If you are unable to attend this workshop but are interested in other dates, we also present the same information at Medicare Monday, which is held the first Monday of each month from 9 am to 11. Registration is preferred. Topics that will be covered include: Medicare Part A and B, Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage Plans, Supplements/MediGap, Medicare coverage options, state and federal programs that help lower costs for Part B & Part D. This presentation can also be provided to groups or organizations at no cost. Call the above number to schedule.

This 3-day performance-based (hands-on) course for State and local radiological response team members covers the concepts of radiation protection, radiation detection instruments, radiological monitoring techniques, radiological hazards and protective actions, team-building, and basic procedures to support planning/response for emergency and recovery activities in the event of a radiological incident. The course covers all types of radiological hazards from fixed facility to transportation to WMD. This course is designed so that modules may be conducted separately and adapted to specific audience needs and requirements.
