How are fines, court costs and restitution determined?
Some of the fines are mandated by law, while others are determined by the Court. Costs are mandated by law or local rule. Restitution is determined based on the amount of damage incurred.
Where are fines, court costs and restitution paid?
Fines, costs and restitution are paid in the Clerk of Court Cost & Fines office located on the second floor of the East Wing Annex of the new Courthouse. Payments may be made in person Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or electronically by credit card at http://ujsportal.pacourts.us/epay/
You will then be able to search by Name, Docket Number, or Payment Plan Number.
You must select a case or payment plan for a case in Cumberland County
to satisfy your payment requirements. Payments also may be mailed to:

Accepted payment methods;
By mail you may send cash, money order, cashier's check, and personal checks. Credit card payments accepted thru http://www.ujsportal.pacourts.us/epay/ or at the Public Terminal at the Cost & Fines Counter. Accepted cards are (Visa, Master Card & Discover). Please note* there will be a $2.75 convenience fee added to all credit card payments. Individual credit card payments are limited to $1,000.00 maximum per transaction.
To insure proper credit, all payments must be clearly marked with the Name of the Defendant and the Cumberland County Criminal Docket Number
