Pennsylvania Code (Section 3130.21) requires Cumberland County CYS executive officers to appoint a Children & Youth Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Board members review matters referred to them by CYS executive officers and/or the administrator, then suggest policies regarding operations and programs. The Board also gives advice concerning the CYS Service Plan and budget estimates.
Although the Advisory Board is not the public relations arm of the agency, members strive to promote a better public and consumer understanding of the CYS program and objectives.
The Citizen’s Advisory Board meets a minimum of 4 times a year. Members are asked to serve a three year term. If you are interested in becoming a member, please email your resume to Nicole Crisp at ncrisp@ccpa.net. You may also contact Nicole via email or at 717.240.7846 with questions or for access to our virtual meetings.
