Cumberland County Commissioners enacted Ordinance Number 2022-2 on July 6, 2022, providing a real estate tax credit opportunity for firefighters and EMS volunteers who own property in Cumberland County.
The amount of Cumberland County Real Estate Tax paid by the volunteer, up to $250. (Excluding Library Tax)
The applicant's fire company or EMS chief/manager must provide a list of volunteers who have met the organizations requirements and have been in good standing for at least six months between January 1 and November 30 to the Cumberland County Commissioners Office by December 15.
Volunteers must submit the following to the Commissioners Office by December 15
The items above should be emailed to commissioners@ccpa.net or mailed to the commissioners office.
The Cumberland County Commissioners Office will review and verify the certification, real estate receipt, and completed application. After verifying all information, a check payable to the volunteer in the amount of real estate tax paid up to $250 will be issued to the applicant.
