  1. Additional hours for hand delivery of mail-in & absentee ballots

    - The Bureau of Elections office is open Thursday, Oct. 28 - 4:30 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 30 - 8 a.m. to noon for residents to hand deliver their voted mail-in or absentee ballot. Residents may also deliver their ballot during regular hours. Voter Services

Planning a visit?

The Cumberland County Bureau of Elections is open to the public during normal business hours. Walk-ins are always welcome or you can schedule an appointment online or you can call our office at 717.240.6385.

Election / Voter Services Functions

  • Registering voters
  • Conducting elections
  • Maintaining the registration of all voters
  • Preparing notices of elections and lists of offices
  • Accepting / verifying nomination petitions
  • Preparing official and specimen ballots
  • Administering the Campaign Expenditure Act

Additional Responsibilities

  • Establishing voting precincts
  • Locating polling places
  • Training election officers to staff the polls on Election Day
  • Preparing all election supplies to be used at the polls on Election Day
